Welcome to Graceful Legend Llamas! We are about 35 miles northwest of Washington DC and in the rolling hills of Montgomery County's agricultural preserve. Our farm is about an hour from each of the area's three airports.

When our llama herd was established in 1992, we chose to specialize in fine fiber and suri llamas with exceptional dispositions. Our herd is deliberately small and select so that we can personally handle every aspect of raising llamas. Our feed has been formulated by Greta specifically for our llamas and our climate. Having adequate time to interact with every llama each day, to accomplish herd maintenance chores easily and in a timely manner, to keep accurate and complete records on each llama, to spend the time necessary to adequately train each cria, and to get to know each llama as an individual are the benefits of maintaining a small select herd.

Our committment to fiber production includes shearing all our llamas yearly. They get a "nudie" every third year, and this includes our herdsires too! The fiber from our llamas is machine or handspun into yarns for knitters and weavers to purchase.

Building on the genetics of our herdsires and maintaining strong dam lines, our herd becomes more refined each year. We are concerned with quality rather than quantity. Although we may not have the largest selection of llamas for sale, the success of our breeding goals is evident in the noteworthy fiber, conformation and temperaments of our llamas.

Graceful Legend Llamas' website is currently under renovation.

Please stay tuned for further developments.
